A full-spectrum motherhood wellness company — supporting women emotionally, physically, and in making core memories, from preconception through postpartum.

Who, What, and Why

I’m Elena Wilkerson, a mother of two, certified doula, and nutritionist. My work is deeply personal, rooted in both professional training and lived experience. I support women through one of the most transformative seasons of their lives with compassion, evidence-based guidance, and a holistic approach to wellness.

What We Do

At Motherwell Living, I offer:

  • Preconception counseling

  • Pregnancy and postpartum health coaching

  • Educational e-courses and 1:1 support

  • Maternity and newborn photography

Why I Do This

My passion for women’s health began long before I became a mother.

For years, I lived with undiagnosed autoimmune disease. As a child and young adult, I experienced severe reactions to gluten and dairy, ADHD, depression, muscle weakness, irregular periods, and chronic fatigue. I spent years navigating both naturopathic and Western medicine, searching for answers—but nothing fully explained what was happening in my body.

It wasn’t until my first postpartum period that everything came to a breaking point.

My health rapidly declined. My thyroid wasn’t functioning properly, my hormones were completely dysregulated, and severe sleep deprivation pushed an already taxed body beyond its limits. I remember telling my husband, “I feel like I’m going to die.”

That moment changed everything.

I began advocating for myself, found the right physician, and requested a comprehensive hormone panel. That’s when I finally received a diagnosis: Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.

With answers came healing—and clarity. I realized how deeply unsupported women are during preconception, pregnancy, and especially postpartum. I also learned how essential proactive, individualized care is during these seasons.

Motherwell Living exists because no woman should feel lost, dismissed, or alone in her motherhood journey.

My Philosophy

I believe motherhood deserves:

  • Preparation, not pressure

  • Support, not survival

  • Care for the whole woman—not just the baby

This work is my calling—to guide women with empathy, education, and presence, while honoring both their health and their story.
